The Smith St staple comes to Flatbush and doesn't disappoint. The space is beautiful and offers the same exact menu. They offer premium sake and their fish is top quality. I love getting the Dassai or Wakatake sake. All their Salads are good. If you like mushrooms get the warm mushroom salad. Shishitos are a good starter to share with friends and family. Always fun to get a spicy pepper. The TNT Truffle is a MUST get! The seared Tuna is also delish. The yellowtail jalepeno is always good. Ki Sushi is always a great meal.

The staff couldn't of been nicer. The food is delicious and fresh. Beautiful clean restaurant. A must try.

Best sushi in Park Slope/Prospect Heights! My husband does not like sushi but we still had a wonderful dinner. The decor was modern and the waitstaff was great. We started with the wings which had great flavor but were not that meaty. I had the omaske which was was amazing and my husband had the beef teriyaki. I'm so happy this place now has a Flatbush location.

I always pass this restaurant and tonight I gave it a chance. You will not be disappointed. My wife and I sat at the sushi bar and tried their sushi omakase and it was worth the $40!! They ship 80% of their fish from Tokyo. It's as fresh as they come. Delicious and sushi rice was perfect. We didn't try anything else but it's always a good sign if their fish is fresh. We'll try other things next time. It's spacious and doesn't always look as crowded as Geido. Hands down, I would go back again. It's way better than Geido. Staff was pleasant and we were offered complimentary ice cream tonight.

Probably one of the top /best sushi restaurants in Brooklyn ! Both the sushi (especially their special rolls) and kitchen items are absolutely delicious. I don't spend time writing comments unless it's worth it !

Service was exceptional. Ambiance was appropriate. Food was great, prompt, as expected. Would visit again.
-
Impeccable service and incredibly fresh, generous amounts of sushi-a gem of a place! Absolutely worth the dollar or two more per roll.

I wasn't expecting to eat here but I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff was as soon as I walked through the first door. I loved everything about my experience. They provided warm hand towels a bit after we sat down to clean our hands and didn't rush us at all to order. My glass never got empty, as soon as it went down a bit it was refilled by the busser! The food was phenomenal, I had the Drangonfly sushi roll and then had vanilla tempura ice cream and they presented both plates beautifully. Definitely will be recommending and going back.

Why don't restaurant owners look at the reviews when it comes to service, food and friendliness. Do you see the reviews for this wonderful restaurant. The service is unreal and very friendly. They really make you feel welcome. There seems to be the owner or manager watching to make sure everything was great. The food was great and presented perfectly. I had the sushi imported from Japan along with the mushroom soup and we had two appetizers. There were tastes I never had before in the many sushi restaurants I have been to. When we got in the car we said that it was expensive but well worth the money. Other owners should visit to see how it's done right.

Already a favorite in Prospect Heights area. Was a fan of Taro Sushi down the street but this place has it beat. Love the interior but the service is top notch and super attentive. We came on a Wednesday 6pm with no reservations and were seated immediately.
The waitress started by giving us hot hand towels to wipe our hands and took our drink orders--we ordered the "Devil Killer(?)" Sake. They served us a complimentary appetizer too of two sashimi pieces. Very fresh. We ordered chicken skewers and gyozas as appetizeres. Chicken was very juicy and the sauce was delicious. Gyoza was also fried perfectly. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe--came with 18 pieces of sashimi ranging from fluke to salmon and a miso soup. It was more than I could eat TBH. Also, a huge fan of the miso since they were very generous ith the enoki mushrooms and seaweed.
BF got two types of special rolls--Volcano and the Dynamite roll. Both were delicious! I favor the Volcano because of the scallops.Again, very filling. Lastly, we ordered the Spring Roll Banana with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice cream (It's a banana fried in spring roll wrappers). I'm not a sweets/dessert person but BF devoured this.
Definitely coming back because I hear great things about their omakase. Service and food are both superb!

Fantastic experience. Omakase was excellent... creative and high quality. Great ambiance too

Ordered their crab tartar, and a few sushi special rolls, the Ki Rolls was somehow not as good as it used to be. But we still enjoyed it. The eel roll with uni was unexpectedly better than what we thought. The sitting was spacious, the restaurant is very clean. The service was great as well.

We spent 15+ years in Cobble Hill and Ki Sushi became our go-to for local sushi. The original location on Smith Street is heads and shoulders better than the other options in the very spotty/inconsistent Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens restaurant area.
Also, I was the King? Mayor? via Yelp Check-Ins at Ki Sushi for about three years.
So, I've eaten at Ki before :)The Flatbush Avenue location is shiny and new and a bit more spacious. It thankfully has the same menu and the same very friendly and customer-oriented vibe that the original one has.
The menu is the same and if you haven't been, I do have to say their house/special rolls are where you want to start. The Ki Roll is by far my favorite. Volcano. Foxy Lady. What does the new location do differently? The Omakase. We've done the Omakase at Ki for years and it's generally fairly similar things - which is not a bad thing.
But, here at the new location? It's pretty incredible.
We had amazing scallop. Uni. Barracuda. The fattiest fatty salmon. It was pretty joyous.Nice work!

As someone who frequents a lot of sushi joints, this is by far the best sushi place I have been to in Brooklyn. I have been to this restaurant about 9 times in a 2-3 month span so I have run up and down the menu and everything has been great. The quality in everything is just head and shoulders above everywhere else. You can really tell they go the extra mile after a meal here - even the seaweed is excellent here which is something I thought I would never say.
Notable Highlights:
-Ability to buy fish that is sourced from different places. Instead of ordering tuna, you can order tuna caught near Spain or Tuna caught in the pacific. Tasting the same fish, that was sourced from different spots really hones in your taste buds on the difference. As as side note, they also have fish from the Tokyo Fish Market and it's very decently priced!
-The $15 lunch special is a steal. Soup, salad + 2 rolls.
-The miso soup is exceptional here.
-I would highly recommend the omakase.
-The staff is really friendly. The manager, Tony, is on top of everything. They are very attentive and helpful. Example, one time I spilled a little soy sauce on a shirt and they came by with a hot towel so I could rub it out, all without me asking.
-Good selection of Japanese beers. The Japanese Red Ale is actually quite good.
Getting a seat here is still very easy. This location is still pretty new and I have never had to wait for a seat, I wouldn't be surprised if this changes in the future.
All in all, 5 stars.

Yummy food, fast service, ramantic decoration and big portions of Edamame! Best sushi I had here in Brooklyn.
-
Delicious. Seaweed salad is tasty to start with. Rolls are quite large. Foxy lady roll is my top pick. Wash down with Sapporo. Top off with mint ice cream. Staff are very helpful and pleasant.
Enjoy! -
Another sushi restaurant? What could some new place do that Taro and Geido didn't do already? But all these glowing Yelp reviews pushed me to overcome my skepticism--and damn was I glad. This place is the best. So count me among the gushers.
We each ordered the 10-piece omakase sushi. Oh my Poseidon. The fish was so fresh and supple. The chef prepared each piece with a tiny garnish or dab of sauce to accentuate its unique flavor and texture; each item was a carefully crafted gem. My husband doesn't even usually like scallops and declared that one his favorite--silky, sweet, decadent.
The service also was extremely friendly and attentive but never overbearing. Our waiter, once we ordered the omakase, suggested we might actually enjoy it more if we moved from our table to the bar -- "I like to see the sushi when they make it!" he said with a big grin. They brought all our belongings over, gave us two new hot towels for our hands, and then took us on a seafood journey. When I dropped my chopstick like a fool, a waiter materialized behind me to sweetly and effortlessly replace it. Honestly, though, the sushi was so incredible they could have spat on me and I'd still want to come back.
Six stars if I could.

By far the best sushi I've ever had in Brooklyn. Fresh fish, friendly and attentive service, sleek interior = an easy 5 stars! Went for the first time a few days ago, and already going back for dinner this evening. So happy to have top-notch sushi in the neighborhood.
-
Visit this place just before we move back to city from park slope in April. $40 OMAKASE totally worth the price, or even better. There are lots of sushi restaurants in the city but Ki sushi was the one that lower price with good experience.Tried $60 for sashimi and sushi omakase last week and was very satisfied as expected.

This new Ki location is excellent. I came with my friend and had the two roll lunch special. The salad had an excellent miso dressing and fresh crispy veggies. The shrimp tempura roll was perfection and the spicy tuna was well executed also. We added cucumber to ours. Next time I'll ask for a side of eel sauce to really set it off. We rounded out lunch with a scoop of ginger ice. It was AMAZING!!
The staff and especially our server Tommy was pleasant, attentive and incredibly accommodating. Run, don't walk here. You'll be glad you did.

3 of us walked in here at 8pm on a Thursday evening. The place was full with maybe one or two tables open. I booked a table a few hours earlier so I was able to get a seat right away anyways.
The environment of this place is very elegant and upscale. It has a dark and fancy feeling to it all. Definitely a great place for a date. The sushi was very well done and well presented. The staff was also very nice and even hands out freshly steamed hand towels to wipe your hand before you begin your meal. The menu is comprehensive as well! The reason for a 4/5 rating is because I feel that the price was a little too steep. Perhaps that is because I have a strong background in Vancouver, Canada, where the sushi is nearly a third of the price and just as high class. For Brooklyn though, this place is definitely a must try.
Would highly recommend to others looking for a great date night!

I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh taste of the sushi I had here for dinner last night. I had the sushi deluxe which was a tuna roll and 10 sushi piece combo. It was $25 and honestly very much worth it. I will definitely try the omakase next.
Decor looks like your neighborhood pan-asian sushi restaurant but the quality of the sushi itself really makes it worth your trip if you're in Cobble Hill.
By 8:30pm on a Wednesday night it was completely packed with a line waiting outside, so you might want to get a reservation.
-
Very solid sashimi for reasonable prices (might I even call it "low prices" - especially considering the neighborhood). The fish is very fresh and consistently good.
I will have to come back to try the omakase (and it's only $58 for 2 people!).
-
My friend took me here and at first I thought "oh just another sushi spot whatever."
BUT I WAS WRONG! This place is incredible.
The fish is flown in from Japan and you can taste the difference. It melts in your mouth like butter.
The TNT truffle appetizer was beyond magical.
We even got the randomly selected sashimi and it was so good. Overall the best dinner I've had in a while. They even have an interesting beer selection I haven't seen elsewhere. -
Great sushi spot.
The environment is awesome with beautiful plants and dim lighting and though it's usually pretty full, I've never needed to make a reservation. The staff is sincere and efficient and the sushi is delicious! I don't know that it's the best sushi I've ever had in the history of ever but it's pretty darn good. I usually just get their sushi deluxe and it's very fresh and more than enough to fill you up...unless you're like a body builder or something.
Definitely check it out if you're in the area and looking for sushi!
